Kids In Motion "Success" Program

Kids is seeking full time pediatric therapists and aides with initiative for growth and development. Applicants must possess strong desire for lifelong learning and participation in program development.


Kids is in the midst of several growth opportunities and is seeking driven individuals who possesses the desire to take on new challenges, learn new skills, and participate in continuing education to advance and promote their careers and the clinic culture. Applicants must be able to work with children, youth, and their families to promote active participation in activities or occupations that are meaningful to them.


Speech Therapy

Applicants must be able to share responsibility with other professionals for creating a collaborative culture in addition to:

  • Counsel by providing education, guidance, and supporting individuals, their families and their caregivers regarding acceptance, adaptation, and decision making about communication, feeding and swallowing, and related disorders

  • Prevention and wellness activities that are geared toward reducing the incidence of a new disorder or disease, identifying disorders at an early stage, and decreasing the severity or impact of a disability associated with an existing disorder or disease

  • Screening individuals for possible communication, hearing, and/or feeding and swallowing disorders

  • Diagnose communication and swallowing disorders

  • Develop and implement treatment to address the presenting symptoms or concerns of a communication or swallowing problem or related functional issue

  • Use advanced instrumentation and technologies in the evaluation, management, and care of individuals with communication, feeding and swallowing, and related disorders

  • Demonstrate knowledge in the practice areas of fluency, speech production, language, cognition, voice, resonance, feeding and swallowing, auditory habilitation and other areas of potential etiology

Therapy aides will reveal strengths of all children and families through play, family focus, and team collaboration to provide staff and the children we serve a supportive team environment with a steady flow of care.

Goal of the Position:

Support therapy staff through preparation and completion of sessions. 

Job Tasks:

  • Rooming patients.

  • Prep and clean up after session.

  • Organization of therapy materials and spaces to support therapy staff.

  • Completing of visual schedules, therapy boards, laminating, and other tasks for therapy materials.

  • Front desk coverage

  • Cleaning gym in between patients

  • Dishes

  • Deep Cleaning

  • Sorting Toys

  • Toy management

  • Assist with transfers and sessions as needed

Staff therapists are supported and able to complete a timely and efficient plan of care with the support of the therapy aide.


Physical Therapy

  • Applicants must be able to share responsibility with other professionals for creating a collaborative culture in addition to:

  • Assist with movement, motor development, and body function (eg, strength and endurance).

  • Apply clinical reasoning during examination, evaluation, diagnosis, and intervention for children, youth, and young adults.

  • Promote health and wellness as they implement a wide variety of supports in collaboration with families, communities, and other medical, developmental, and specialists.

  • Examination including mobility, sensory and neuromotor development, use of assistive technology, muscle and joint function, strength and endurance, cardiopulmonary status, posture and balance, and oral motor skills. 

  • Support families through coordination of services, advocacy, and assistance to enhance the development of their child including; 

  • Positioning during daily routines and activities 

  • Adapting toys for play 

  • Expanding mobility options 

  • Using equipment effectively 

  • Facilitating safety for the home and community 

  • Accessing community programs and resources

  • Providing information on the child’s physical and health care needs

  • Supporting family caregiving

  • Smoothing transitions from early childhood to school and into adult life
