Helping Kids Move, Play, and Keep Up

I work with children who need support building strength, coordination, balance, endurance, and confidence with movement. I especially enjoy working with school-aged children, kids with Down syndrome, and children who may be struggling with weight, endurance, or keeping up with their peers.

My goal is to help your child gain practical skills that make everyday life easier. That might mean moving more independently, joining friends on the playground, keeping up during family activities, or feeling more confident navigating the community.

Therapy That Feels Like Play

I chose pediatric physical therapy after completing a clinical rotation at Kids In Motion and discovering how much fun play-based therapy can be. Honestly, I am not always sure who has more fun during sessions, my patients or me.

During therapy, we use games, activities, and movement challenges to work toward meaningful goals. I also provide aquatic therapy, which can give children a fun and supportive environment to improve strength, mobility, balance, and endurance.

What to Expect

Your child’s first visit will include an evaluation to help us understand how they currently move and identify the areas where therapy could make the greatest difference. Standardized testing gives us helpful information, but it never tells the whole story. I want to hear what you are seeing at home, what activities are difficult, and what your child wishes they could do more easily. Your concerns and goals are an important part of the therapy plan. After the evaluation, we will begin using games and activities that target the skills your child needs while keeping sessions positive and engaging.

Celebrating Everyday Wins

I know therapy is working when families tell me their child can keep up better with friends, move more easily in the community, and participate in activities that were previously difficult. Progress does not always look like one big milestone. Sometimes it is walking farther, climbing the playground equipment, joining a game, or having enough energy to enjoy an outing with family.

A Partner for Your Family

I understand that trusting someone with your child’s health and well-being is a big decision. I take that responsibility seriously and will always provide thoughtful, individualized care while helping your child develop skills that support them now and in the future. Families often tell me how much fun their children have during therapy, and that is exactly what I hope for. Children learn and grow best when they feel safe, supported, and excited to participate.

Outside the Clinic

Outside of work, you will likely find me walking my two Springer Spaniels with my wife or participating in powerlifting meets around the community.
