About Me
I'm Dr. Madison Reiner, OTD, OTR/L, an occupational therapist who loves helping children build the skills they need to be successful at home, at school, and in their communities. I enjoy working with children of all ages, with special interests in emotional and self-regulation, picky eating, bowel and bladder challenges, executive functioning, social participation, and early childhood development through Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI).
I have additional training in aquatic therapy, bowel and bladder rehabilitation, and DMI, allowing me to tailor treatment to each child's unique strengths and needs.

What Families Can Expect
Many of the families I meet have already spent countless hours searching online, trying advice from friends, implementing reward charts, changing routines, or simply hoping their child would outgrow the challenge. By the time they arrive, they're often exhausted and wondering what else they can do.
My role isn't to judge what's been tried—it's to help you understand why something may not have worked and develop a plan that fits your child and your family. I believe parents are the experts on their children, and I work alongside you every step of the way.
My Approach
The relationship I build with your child is one of the most important parts of therapy.
During our first visit together, we'll spend time reviewing the evaluation, answering your questions, and making sure you understand the plan moving forward. From there, I begin with activities your child enjoys so they feel comfortable, successful, and excited to participate while we naturally begin working toward their goals.
Before you leave each session, you'll have practical ideas and strategies to use at home so progress continues long after therapy ends.
The Moments That Matter Most
Some of my favorite successes aren't measured by tests. They're the everyday victories families celebrate.
It's hearing:
-
"We made it through errands without a meltdown."
-
"She's finally eating apples!"
-
"He stayed dry all week."
-
"Our mornings aren't such a battle anymore."
-
"He's doing his chores without constant reminders."
Those are the moments that tell me therapy is making a real difference.

A Message to Parents
If you've been wondering whether you should reach out, I encourage you to ask.
Sometimes our conversation reassures families that therapy isn't needed right now. Other times, it gives parents the confidence and direction they've been looking for. Either way, asking questions is never the wrong decision.
You don't have to have all the answers before making the call.

A Little Outside the Clinic
Originally from Langdon, North Dakota, I now call Bismarck home with my husband and our adventurous little boy. When I'm not in the clinic, you'll usually find me spending time with family and friends, reading, working on a puzzle, enjoying the outdoors, or planning our next trip to the mountains. I also love water sports, snowboarding, and just about any excuse to eat homemade banana bread.
